Odelia Rouse

Emerging Designer. Born on the island of Dominica, nature Island of the Caribbean, to a dressmaking mother who at an early age influenced my desire to be able to create and create well, the clothes we put on our bodies everyday and sometimes take for granted.

At the age of 18, Odelia Rouse left the United States Virgin Islands and moved to Concord, NC to study business at Barber Scotia College in NC. Always carrying with her the intention of becoming an entrepreneur like much of her family, she knew she had the ability to chart her own course and determine her own destiny. While in college, to make extra pin money, Rouse would sew outfits for various sororities and friends. The designs were simple and the finishes where at first a little rough. It was at that point Odelia found more and more that she enjoyed designing, was passionate about it and decided to take her interest further. She enrolled to study fashion design at Bauder College in Atlanta to cement and expand her skills.

Odelia Rouse has been influenced by great design pioneers such as Madame Vionet, Karl Largerfield, Halston and Tom Ford. These fashion icons have all influenced Rouse’s design style which exudes elegance, sophistication, and exquisite quality.
