I am a self taught artist who grew up in the small town of Owosso, Michigan. I was a creator of things for as long as I can remember. The bulk of my discipline revolves around the visual arts, portraits, figures, painted sculptures, kinetic sculptures, and so on. The ideas I have to create things are endless, in so much as one always leads to multiple others. I like to use a lot of color. I feel as though color is to me what hair was to Samson. Color gives me strength and helps to spark the inferno of imagination that burns within me. Color helps to lift my spirits and augments intellectual activity. Lately, a quote that resonates with me is, “Everything in its highest form is an art.” Such as writing this, and even reading it (are you reading artfully?” :) ) I have had a job since the age of ten. So I was a creative child and grew up doing many different things. Now looking back I can see how I found the art in those things. Most, if not all the people I have worked with will tell you I have excelled at adapting to different fields and was more than adequate at making things happen in a good way. I find myself equally at home on the contruction site, racetrack, theatre, engine shop, easel, garage, machine shop or drawing board. So I plan to see what I can do with this latest opportunity as a fashion designer of sorts. I am confident of a good result. You, my friends will let me know…
